It all began in the 1970s in Madrid, at the famous La Trattoria® restaurant owned by Alcide Tarella and his wife Monique Solange, which had become a meeting point for Madrid's high society, Hollywood stars and many other famous people such as Ernest Hemingway, Ava Gadner, Luis Miguel Dominguin and Alfonso Hohenlohe. One day, Alcide Tarella decided to move to Lisbon and with the business support of João Flores, Lisbon's first Italian restaurant, La Trattoria®, was born in 1974.
